Ekaterina Polyakova / Piano Music Festival „Clavis“

Ekaterina Polyakova was born in Osersk (Russia) in 1987. At the age of five she had her first piano lesson and consequently won several prices at national and international competitions at an early age. From October 2005 to September 2015 she first studied at the University of Music Karlsruhe where she majored in piano and historical keyboard instruments

and then pursued a post graduate degree at Mozarteum Salzburg specializing on fortepiano. In 2015 she was awarded a third price at the Fritz-Neumeyer fortepiano competition in Bad Krozingen, Germany, and 2017 she won the Fortepiano Plus competition in Kremsegg, Austria.

Ekaterina Polyakova frequently gives recitals in Germany and Austria. She is an active chamber musician as well. Her repertory focuses on historically informed performances of baroque, classic and romantic works on original instruments from the 18th and 19th century.
